Alert Notification Security Statement

Last Updated: January 2010

Security is Our #1 Concern

Alert Notification's Information Systems utilize the highest security measures available today. We fully understand your privacy demands and take every precaution to ensure your piece of mind.

Data Center Security

Our Carrier-grade data center is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our four security zones utilize full digital surveillance, 100% in/out escort, mantrap gate, biometric scanning, and physical monitoring. All hardware cages have combination locks, under floor power and network wiring to prevent further unauthorized access.

Data Center Redundancy

Our datacenter is engineered to ensure that our customer's Internet access to our Information Systems is available 100% of the time and is monitored 24x7 by our Network Operations Center (NOC). We have full redundancy from our multi-homed fiber network to power and fire suppression.

Certification Authority

Alert is registered with a trusted Certification Authority (CA). The Certification Authority guarantees our Company's entity. When a browser connects to a secured site (identified by https:// vs. http:// in the URL), it verifies that the CA which issued the certificate, is on the browser's trusted CA list. If it is not, a warning pops up telling the user that this site may not be secure.

Data Center Network Security

Redundancy in power and Internet access is the minimum precautions any data center should take. However, these precautions are meaningless in the face of a focused attack or an automated exploit such as an Internet "worm".

We've implemented an Intrusion Detections System (IDS) and an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) not only to detect Internet threats, but also preventing them from succeeding. Our firewall protection also intercepts the most common Internet threats such as Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. Network traffic is also monitored 24x7 from our NOC.

Due to our commitment for the highest level of security and privacy Alert Notification has met or exceeded the privacy and security standards set forth by HIPAA.

Secure Data

Data such as your SSN, password, credit card and address is encrypted in our database using 128-bit RC@ keys. Data viewed without the matching key and decryption shows up as hashed, meaningless data. We utilize the same encryption when sending your records via email.

*** NOTE: Alert Notification will NEVER send emails asking for your identity or password.

Secure Access

Any personal data transmitted over the Internet from our site is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. Users accessing their data are required to enter a unique ID and password from a secured browser with 128-bit encryption support. Once logged in, the Digital OID from GoDaddy authenticates the user's computer identity and a secure session is established.

To access your records, we require the use of a secure browser which supports 128-bit encryption. Microsoft® Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox are some of the widely available browsers today.
